| In
our shop we specialize in repairing cracked cast cylinder heads and
blocks. The process we use is a cold pinning system. This system
allows us to repair cracks with out disturbing the rest of the
head/block. We see alot of marine engines that are not properly
winterized which typically cracks or blows out sides of the block.
We normally will have customer remove engine intact and bring it
to our shop. We can fix these without any effect on the rest of
the engine. Almost all cylinder heads can be repaired with the
advantage of relieving stress in the casting that is inherent from
the time it was made, making it better than when it was new.
