| We
can in most cases repair a stripped spark plug hole in the vehicle
with out removing engine or cylinder head. Also if a repair
previously had been made with a Heli-Coil we can still repair that
over sized hole. The Ford 5.4 and V10 engines have a problem with
the spark plug coming out of the cylinder head. We believe it is do
to the fact there is only 3 aluminum threads holding the spark plug
in place. When the failure happens it also breaks the individual coil pac to that plug. We can repair this without removing the cylinder
head. This repair usually costs between $250.00 and $500.00 to
repair.

As
you can see in the above picture the amount of thread material for
the spark plug to be held on to. We have seen these failures with as
little as 80,000 miles to the most common at 140,000 miles. We need
just 1 day to do the repair.
